Honda launches Orange Edition for Civic hatch
Honda launches Orange Edition accessory pack to celebrate the launch of the all-new Civic hatch.
To mark the launch of the all-new Civic hatch, Honda’s local arm has added a unique Orange Edition accessory pack to the range, which is “inspired by Honda’s global motorsport activities”.
Given Honda’s performance in Formula One racing recently, the Orange Edition kind of comes at an awkward time.
Nevertheless, Formula One aside, 100 Orange Edition models will be available for the VTi, VTi-S, VTi-L and VTi-LX, but not the Rs as that already has most of the extra components already. Furthermore, the Orange Edition kits are only compatible with four of the seven colours offered: White Orchid Pearlescent, Lunar Silver Metallic, Sonic Grey Pearlescent and Crystal Black Pearlescent.
The kit itself will set buyers back an extra $2,998 (fitted) and it includes an orange front lower spoiler, an orange door and mirror decal set, an orange side skirt set, an orange rear lower spoiler and four black 17-inch alloy wheels.
Honda is also reprising the Black Edition kit, which was first launched last year with Civic sedan.
It costs the same as the Orange Edition ($2,998) and includes a black front lower spoiler, black door mirror covers, a black side skirt set, a black rear lower spoiler and four black 17-inch alloy wheels.
“The ‘Black Pack’ edition proved to be extremely popular with dealers and customers when we launched the all-new Honda Civic sedan, so we’ve extended the scope for customers to individualise the all-new Civic hatch with the introduction of the Orange Edition,” said Honda Australia director, Stephen Collins.
